The oil quickly penetrates the pleats of the filter and remains there until the filter is cleaned. This provides long-lasting protection and optimal performance of your air filter.

User-friendly spray can

The spray can makes applying the oil easy and even. Hold a distance of about 8 cm and spray the oil evenly along the top of each pleat until the filter has a nice red color. Then let the oil soak in for 20 minutes.

Maintenance advice for your K&N air filter

The maintenance interval of your K&N air filter depends on the application. With intensive use, such as rallycross, it may be necessary to clean the filter every 150 km. For passenger cars, this is often only needed after 200,000 km. Clean the filter when a dirt layer of 2-3 mm has formed.

Important points of attention

• Only use K&N Air Filter Oil; other oils may damage the cotton and obstruct airflow.
• Avoid over-oiling; too much oil can hinder airflow and lead to oil in the air intake system.
• Do not use gasoline, paraffin, or thinners when cleaning the filter.
