Fiber-reinforced filler for large repairs

The FINIXA GAP 40 is a universal polyester filler with fiberglass, specially developed for filling larger surfaces and significant irregularities. Thanks to the impregnated fibers, this filler can be easily and evenly spread and finished.

Ideal for various applications

This filler is perfectly suitable for:

  • Bridging cracks, small holes, and rusted-through spots.
  • Repairs to polyester constructions and car bodies.
  • Applications in damp environments, such as boats and campers, thanks to its waterproof properties.

Excellent adhesion and stability

The GAP 40 offers:

  • Good adhesion to fiberglass-reinforced materials.
  • High stability, so the filler does not run during application.

Technical specifications

  • Color: light grey
  • Hardener: BPO red
  • Mixing ratio: 2% hardener
  • Pot life at 20°C: 3 to 4 minutes
  • Sandable after 20 minutes (dry or wet)

Application instructions

  1. Degrease the surface thoroughly with two cloths.
  2. Weigh the required amount of filler.
  3. Add 2% BPO hardener and mix carefully to avoid air entrapment.
  4. Apply the filler to the desired surface.
  5. Allow to cure; the curing time is influenced by humidity and temperature.
  6. Sand if necessary and reapply.

Note

Due to the fiberglass content, this filler has limited sandability. It is recommended to finish with a fine filler for a smooth end result.
