Compatible binders and activators

Depending on the chosen Centari® system, various binders and activators are available:

• Centari® 500: 2K finishing system for solid and single-layer metallic colors.
• Centari® 5035: 2K finishing system with low solvent content for solid colors.
• Centari® 600: 1K matte basecoat for solid, metallic, and pearlescent colors.
• Centari® 6000: 1K MS matte basecoat with low solvent content for solid, metallic, and pearlescent colors.

Preparation and application

For optimal results, it is important to properly prepare the surface:

1. Cleaning: Use a suitable cleaner or degreaser to clean the surface.
2. Sanding: Remove irregularities by sanding the surface.
3. Dust removal: Use compressed air and degreaser to remove sanding dust.

Apply the basecoat in two layers with a drying time of 1 to 2 minutes between coats. Use a conventional spray gun or a high transfer efficiency spray gun. Wait until the surface is matte before applying the second layer.
