The MIRKA Microstar sanding disc Ø150 mm with P1500 grit is specially designed for matting and correcting paint and clear coat layers. Thanks to the unique stearate layer and smooth film backing, this disc offers an exceptionally fine finish and longer lifespan, as clogging is kept to a minimum.

Design and material

This sanding disc has a diameter of 150 mm and features 15 holes for optimal dust extraction. The base consists of a flexible polyester film, ensuring even pressure distribution and a smooth sanding result. The semi-open coating with aluminum oxide grains guarantees efficient material removal and a consistent sanding pattern.

Application possibilities

The Microstar P1500 is ideal for:

• Removing dust particles, runs, and scratches in fresh and medium-hard clear coats.
• Preparing surfaces for polishing, where the fine scratch pattern can be easily polished out.
• Dry sanding of various materials such as veneer, UV high gloss, paints, and MDF/HDF.

Usage tips

For best results, it is recommended to combine the Microstar sanding disc with a 5 mm interface pad. This ensures optimal pressure distribution and prevents sanding through on sensitive surfaces. Note: this sanding disc is intended for dry sanding only.
