The nylon insulation provides extra protection and increases the durability of the connection. After crimping, the insulation can be heated, causing it to shrink and form a watertight seal. This makes the connection resistant to various chemicals such as isopropyl alcohol, trichloroethylene, gasoline, battery acid, diesel, engine oil, antifreeze, brake fluid, and 5% salt water. ### Easy installation Installing these cable lugs is simple and efficient. Strip the wire, place the cable lug over the exposed wire, and use a crimping tool to make a secure connection.
