Application and properties

LOCTITE SI 5910 is a one-component, moisture-curing silicone sealant, specially developed for flexible flanges with machined or cast surfaces of metal or plastic. It is ideal for sealing, among other things, timing covers and oil pans.

This product is suitable for filling gaps up to 1 mm and provides a curing depth of 2.75 mm within 24 hours. Thanks to its thixotropic properties, the sealant stays in place after application without flowing out.

Instructions for use

1. Preparation : Ensure that surfaces are clean and free of dirt, oil, and other contaminants. Use a suitable cleaner such as LOCTITE SF 7063.
2. Application : Apply an even layer of LOCTITE SI 5910 to one of the flange surfaces.
3. Assembly : Assemble the parts within a few minutes after application.
4. Curing : Allow the product to fully cure before exposing it to heavy loads.

Packaging and storage

LOCTITE SI 5910 is available in various packages, including tubes, cartridges, and aerosols. Store the product in a closed container at a temperature between 8°C and 21°C for optimal performance.
