Many-tooth caps or XZN profiles are often used to fix wheel bearings and wheel hubs. Impact sockets are made of Chromemolybdenum that have a black coating. This black coating has an anti-corrosion effect, giving impact sockets extra protection. Impact sockets are much stronger than normal caps and can therefore also be used with an impact wrench (battery-powered and pneumatic).
