Autolampen zijn essentieel voor de veiligheid in het verkeer. Na verloop van tijd kan een autolamp stuk gaan, daarom is het heel belangrijk om deze te vervangen. Er bestaan veel soorten autolampen in verschillende technologieën. De meest voorkomende autolamp is een halogeen autolamp zoals een H4, H7 en H1. Maar tegenwoordig wordt er meer ingezet op xenon autolampen en LED autolampen.
Bij sommige halogeen autolampen zoals de koplampen van jouw voertuig kan je de kleur eenvoudig veranderen. De kleur van de verlichting wordt aangeduid in het aantal Kelvin (K). De standaard Kelvin-waarde is 3000K (geel), hoe hoger de waarde wordt, hoe blauwer het licht. Kleine tip: 5800K is helder wit.
